Tennessee Pictures

 Augie :)
Lauren's reaction to a Sour Patch Kid (That one's not even the best one)
Augie sleeping in the trunk because Hannah took up all of his space
Augie and Lucy playing tug-of-war with Augie's toy
 Grandpa sleeping in his chair
Joseph at the pool wrapped in two towels (I told you the water was cold, and the sun happens to be hiding for this picture.)
Lauren and Joseph at the pool
Grandpa wearing Lauren's goggles at the pool
Okay, so I decided not to put any videos on because they are complicated and take forever to load and yeah. But Lucy does this hilarious thing with her water where when she's panting and hot she'll drink, then dig through the water like she's digging in the ground and then she'll put both of her paws in it and she'll flip the entire thing over! Hannah managed to get it on video twice by snagging my iPod.

Tennessee - Day 2

I don't know if this is the right video, I don't think that it is, and it won't let me upload any other thing, so I'm going to complete this post and them do another one with all of the pictures.
I know that the day isn't over yet, but I figured that blogging is a pretty good thing to do when it's 5:15 and it's quiet and everyone else is on electronics. I was the last one awake this morning (Luckily I was sleeping in the basement) but I didn't miss out on anything. (So I hear.) We went swimming this morning and the water was FREEZING. My aunt said that I turned blue. :) So after about 15 minutes in the pool, I got out and sat at the picnic table and ate and did puzzles in the newspaper with my grandpa. Surprisingly, we stayed for 2 hours, and I spent most of it eating. We came home and Lauren and Joseph tried roller skating. I helped Joseph roller blade and he didn't last long, but it was okay with me because spotting a 5 year old little boy in roller blades that are way to big for him and hasn't really roller bladed before isn't the easiest thing in the world. Then I had ice cream outside and some of it got in my hair and then Joseph, Lauren, and my mom and I went out on the porch and played Guesstures and Grabitz. Joseph "won" because he got the most points. (We just told him that so he didn't feel bad.) There's been a change in plans. Instead of staying until Friday, I am leaving with Joseph and Aunt Margaret tomorrow afternoon to go back home in Alabama, and Hannah and Lauren and my mom will come down to Arizona on Friday. I think that I'm going to help cook dinner now! Bye!

Tennessee - Day 1

Today, we are in Tennessee! My dad stayed home because he had to work, but Augie came with us. So far, the eleven and a half hour car ride has been worth it! We left around 6:20 in the morning (It sadly felt like school all over again) and got here around 5:45 at night. Our Aunt Margaret and her 5 year old son Joseph are here as well, and we're all boarding at my grandparents. I would post pictures(I have a great video of Augie and Joseph's dog Lucy playing together) but I'm using my grandparent's computer. They both got iPads for Mother's Day (I want an iPad for Mother's Day) but Hannah and Lauren won't let me help them figure it out because I helped my other grandma with her new iPad. In the car, we were playing Sparkle, and Hannah made the dog play, and he ended up sparkling all of us out. It was pretty funny. When we got here we played outside (my mom's old trike, a little cart thing that my mom played with, and roller blades that we brought) and ate dinner. Now I'm blogging, but I have to go get ready for bed. I'll see if I have time to post pictures in the morning!

P.S. Jim Furyk is not doing to well in the U.S. Open and he was in the lead but he is now tied for the lead and I don't think that he will win anymore but i thought that he would but he's at even par and he's been kind of slacking off and my confidence in him is shaking, but I don't really mind who wins because I don't have a favorite golfer.
Sorry for that, I just had to put it in. :)

Vacation

Hi everybody! I am very sorry that I haven't posted. I tried once, but it was messed up and it didn't work. I'm going to post pictures this time, just not in this post so in case I mess up I won't have to type all of this again. (I had to do that once, it stinks.) Happy Father's Day! I'm really tired today. So, we skipped school and went to Cody on the last day there. It was great! Everyone was really surprised to see us and they even made me a yearbook. Afterword, we went to Happy Joe's (a pizza place) with Ashlyn and Caroline and some of Hannah and Lauren's friends, and we saw McKenna and Myra there. Then I went over to Caroline's for a little bit, but she had to leave for her trip to like Hawaii or Paris or somewhere awesome and exotic like that. Then after that we just finished school, and the two days (the last one was only like a third of a day) we had a long boring assembly called Honors Assembly and stood outside and signed yearbooks. Fun! (With a fake smile and fake peppy voice.) Other than that, our summer has pretty much been sleeping in and Design Star and Figure It Out and swimming. Awesome, right? I can't wait for the Olympics. We had some of our old neighbors over for a party and I got to show them my new room (We redid it, it looks awesome) and we had my cousins over last night. My mom found this huge roll of paper that could probably cover a football field (no joke, you can sit on it comfortably) and we make cool murals. (Sorry, no picture of that.) I kind of copied Lauren's idea, she was doing this huge abstract art thing in a bunch of different colors and I liked it so much that I had to copy it. Hannah made this amazing hand drawn Webkinz banner because she is currently obsessed with Webkinz. Oh, yeah, big news. SOMEONE STOLE MY COUSIN'S IPOD TOUCH TODAY! She was at an arcade type place and she left her bag with her iPod in it by a game and when she came back the iPod was gone. I'm kind of thinking about sending a text to her iPod saying something like "what you did was wrong you should never steal something now I can't communicate with my cousin anymore and that means a lot to us" or something like that. My dad is currently watching the U.S. Open and he says it is getting good. Samantha and MaKaela are back from India! They've been back for a few weeks, but I haven't blogged in a few weeks. :) We're leaving for Tennessee to go to my grandparent's house tomorrow. We're coming back on Friday. My aunt and cousin are there already with their dog, and my cousin Joseph keeps asking, "When will Augie get here?" because we're bringing Augie. Well, I have to eat dinner now! Bye!

Followers

Sorry I didn't include this in my other post, I had some technical difficulties. I think that I know who follows my blog: Sam and Mack, and maybe Fiona, Caroline, Ashlyn, Ellie, Ella, and maybe Annalisa. I don't remember if I gave her the blog address or not. :) Please comment, text, or email me!

Catching Up

I'm sorry that I haven't been blogging for a long time! I hope that there will be more posts during the summer. It's only 11 days away! So exciting. Hannah and Lauren are going back to Iowa tomorrow, Hannah for her friend Morgan's birthday party and Lauren to sleep over at her friend Ava's. I have my girls on the run party at school. We're watching a movie (ugh) and eating and all of that jazz. Since today was our last practice, we walked to Culvers. (!) I got a chocolate cone. We're redoing my bedroom! It used to be purple, but when we moved here it was dark green. We're painting it a light gray-silver color, and we painted all of my furniture white with silver knobs. Then I have a black, white and gray renaissance-y swirly pattern on it. It's very me. I'll post pictures on Saturday or something, not enough time today to put them on the computer. My grandparents are coming on Saturday for the GOTR (Girls on the Run) race. We're going to a party at my cousin's house, with my grandparents, her other grandpa, (they're divorced) my dad's cousin and his family, (his wife is Hannah's running buddy) and us. Can't wait! Except for the getting up early part. I think that we're supposed to be there at 6:30 Sunday morning! No way. The coaches are supposed to be there at 5:30. Ugh. Oh well. Lauren just turned on this PG-13 rated show called Jail that she loves. It's just a show about people getting arrested. There's a lot of BBBBBBEEEEEEEEEPPPPPs and annoying stuff like that. It's not cool at all. Bye!

Lego Land

Today was an early release, so every early release we go to Lego Land. Today, Hannah brought her friend Amy with us, and for some reason we got 5 free passes. I have a ton of pictures, but my mom is playing on my iPod. Sorry! I have a lot of catching up to do. We build a huge wall out of huge foam Lego bricks in this little area in a play place. They have everything there! (Except for Lego Friends. For some reason, they took away all of their Lego Friends. :( ) Then, yesterday, I painted my nightstand white. We're redoing my room, and instead of buying new furniture, we're just painting it white. I think that I want a teal, black and white theme, but I also kind of want light blue or pastel pink in there, too. I'm excited to see how my nightstand looks because I'm not supposed to put anything on it for a week if I don't want the paint to chip. (Sigh.) Well, I have to go because I have two big tests tomorrow that I have to study for, and it's getting late. I also have a book report due on Friday, but I forgot to bring my book home today. Whoops! Pictures to follow soon! (I hope.)

A Bunch of Everything

I'm sorry that I haven't been posting in a while. I've been busy, and I'll post pictures tomorrow. (I'll post pictures later, I'm too tired and I just had my birthday party.) I am mad because I was typing this post and I hit something and it deleted everything, so I'm starting over. On the last full day of Spring Break, we had some friends over and they had a little boy named Joey who was super cute. Then my other grandparents came on Thursday (I think) and they stayed until my birthday. They brought us a Mardi Gra mask from New Orleans and they have real feathers and everything. My dad calls Lauren the peacock because her mask is like a peacock. I have a funny picture of him with it on. For my golden birthday last Thursday I got an hourglass, Lego Friends, (!) shelves, a webkinz, a dolphin bracelet, and a few shirts. The, on Saturday, we had Ellie (my best friend) and most of her family, and my cousin and most of her family. We had a campfire and we played outside and it was AWESOME. Tonight, I had a 50's themed party and it was awesome. I had a couple of my friends over and we decorated letters, played games, ate cake, opened presents, and went crazy and had a good time. I got a bunch of Target gift cards (I can start redoing my room!) sparkly scissors and tape dispenser, cool matching cardstock stuff, a water bottle with some body stuff in it, and perfume. It was an awesome party, and Augie didn't interfere very much. (Thankfully.) Tomorrow, I get to sleep over at Ellie's house and IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carefree

Someone was selling furniture with pieces of blue turquoise stone in them! They were really cool, and probably really expensive.
 A Gila monster slide.
Lauren on the Gila monster slide.
A waterfall at the place - can you see the stepping stones across and sundial in the distance?
 Under the spouting waterfall thingy.
The part of the sundial that I could get a picture of - it goes 62 feet into the air!
My dad in a wig that Hannah got from a garage sale and Lauren's sunglasses.

For breakfast this morning, my dad, my grandpa, Lauren and I went to this place called Carefree, and ate breakfast at the Black Mountain Coffee Shop, where we go every year. My mom, my grandma, Hannah, and our cousin Denise went to garage sales. (Denise is married to my dad's cousin - she has a son in high school.) Then we walk around a little bit, and they have a huge sundial and a cool waterfall. But we have always went earlier than we did this year, and this time, they were having a huge festival with chocolate and art and jewelry and even some furniture. Down the road, there was also a rodeo going on. Here are some pics, one that I managed to get.

Greasewood Flats

Tonight we went to a place called Greasewood Flats with the rest of our family that lives in Arizona. (8 others, not including us or my grandparents.) Greasewood Flats is basically a huge stretch of land covered in gravel with a bunch of rusty junk sitting around, and clumps of picnic tables by a stage, a dance floor, and there was a big kitchen-bar area behind it. There was one room with dollar bill covering the walls and ceilings, and the people who "donate" them write a message on them - along with everything else there, trees, bathroom stalls, walls, tables, etc. There were a ton of people who rode motorcycles there, and there was even a tattoo tent, which Hannah and Lauren got a kick out of. Their food was pretty good, and their burgers, I mean their buns, were huge. Hannah's opinion on the place - "I don't like it. There was smoking, tattoos, motorcycles, etc." (Hannah is addicted to putting etc. on the end of everything.) Leave it up to Hannah to state the truth! Lauren's opinion on a bunch of things - "Smoking is bad for you, motorcycles are dangerous, and tattoos are just wrong." That basically sums up the people and things about them there! My evening was quite interesting!

Baby Shower

 The regular-sized tortoise.
 The huge tortoise.
 Turtles have really sharp mouths!
They kept the big turtle locked up because he would eat all of the flowers.
The miniature horse, Micky. He ate that food the entire time.
 The regular-sized horse.
A few of the roosters they had.
A baby carriage made out of a watermelon. Don't you like the baby orange and it's pacifier?
A fountain made out of 206 million year old petrified wood.
 A pretty waterfall.
A turtle they had in the bottom of the pool.

On the first day we got to Arizona, we had a baby shower for my mom's cousin. The house that they had it at had a pool, an awesome shelter thing, two horses-- a regular sized one and a miniature one, two turtles-African tortoises, I think--a regular sized one and a HUGE one, and like ten roosters, with four dogs on top of that. They had basically everything. After that, we went to my grandma's sister's house. They had an awesome pool area, with two VERY modest statues of famous ancient Greek or Roman legends that were the first things that you saw when you walked into the backyard. Hannah and Lauren enjoyed giving them clothes from their towels! Here are some pics!

Tombstone Pictures

"Here lies Lester Moore four slugs from a 44 no less no more."
"Here lies George Johnson hanged by mistake 1882 he was right we were wrong but we strung him up and now he's gone."
"Tom McLaury killed Oct. 26 1881." "Billy Clanton Tom McLaury Frank McLaury Murdered on the streets of Tombstone 1881."
"Frank McLaury killed Oct. 26, 1881."
"Unknown 1882 found in abandoned mine."
 Billy Clanton killed Oct.26, 1881."
"Eva Waters age 3 months." How sad!
This is a fraction of the cemetery...there were a lot of people from China here, and about half of the people's tombstones say 'Unknown.'
"John Heath taken from Country Jail and LYNCHED by Bristee Mak in Tombstone Feb. 22, 1884."
"Dutch Annie 1883." Dutch Annie was a famous outlaw, I think. I know that she was considered 'bad.'
The people who worked at the newspaper office had to find each separate letter and space and then put them into the sheet, then they would rub ink all over it, and put it into a huge press and they would press the ink onto the paper. Thank goodness for computers!
A hollow in the ceiling of the cave.
This amazing rock is clear enough so light can travel through it and it kind of glows.
A place in the mine where I have no intention of going anytime soon.
A setting for the comedy gun show.
A picture out of the car window on the way home...isn't it pretty?
