ISAT's

After we got home from Arizona, school continued and I drowned in makeup work, but it was worth it - Arizona's awesome! Anyway, ISATs (Illinois Standardized Academic Test) and they're really, really, really, really booooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiinnnnnnngggg. There's three math, three reading, and two science. We take the science on Monday, but we've finished the math and reading. Finally! I applied for the Wizard of Oz crew, and I'm in stage crew. When we had the snow day on Tuesday, so rehearsal went until 6. Ugh! It was really late, but it was pretty fun because I met a bunch of new people. When you're sitting in the hallway outside the music room, most of the Ozziens and Munchkins are practicing their acts - singing and dancing - and it's the kind of atmosphere that makes you wish you could sing and dance and act and not just sit there and socialize. (There's also those main characters that sit in a circle and play truth or dare and gossip, so I'm out there too.) But I've made friends in the crew, and we have the same opinions, so it's nice to talk to people who have opinions the same as mine.

As you probably know, I play City League Basketball, so I haven't slept in for probably 4 weeks, and now full-on play rehearsals are on from 8 to 3  tomorrow, then next week the shows start. Anyway, we had a pretty good City League team , Cherry's Cherry Bomb's, but I didn't think we were good enough to win the tournament where we go against our school, Bernotas, and Luhndal. Luckily, I was wrong, and we won the tournament 10 - 11! Bernoats was up 9 to 0 in the first quarter, and we were very discouraged. In the second quarter, we only gave them one free throw, and Maria scored us our winning free throw in the last 45 seconds. Much to intense for my liking, but it was defiantly worth it.

Lauren gets her Ears Pierced

Because we're still in Arizona, we naturally want to head right to the pool. We normally get the pool to ourselves, but yesterday a little boy and his dad were there. My grandma had a little chat with the dad and found out they had just moved in down the street. Hannah and I played with the little boy for most of the time at the pool. He had a squirt gun, and wanted to play a splashing game where I splash water at Hannah and he squirts water at Hannah. She didn't like that very much. After Hannah decided she was done with the splashing game and got out of the pool for something, Hannah and I walked to the hot tub and sat down. Because we were the only other ones there, he wanted someone to play with and followed us to the hot tub. He wanted to play the splashing game, but I spared Hannah and told him I thought that the water was too hot for it to be fun and that it would hurt if we played the splashing game in the hot tub.
After we left the pool, showered, and gotten dressed, we drove to Desert Ridge (a shopping mall) and went to Claire's to get Lauren's ears pierced for Lauren's birthday tomorrow. She chose fairly big "diamond" studs, and when they pierced her ears one of the studs wasn't all of the way in her ear. I thought that the earring hadn't gone entirely through her ear, but I was relived when the worker pushed it into her ear so she could adjust the back. After Claire's, we went to Aero and I got a new church outfit for the spring-summer.
Today we went hiking at McDowell park (I think) and walked almost 4 miles! At the 1/3 mark, Grandma decided she couldn't go much further, so she and Hannah turned back and walked the Nature Trail. It was a long, rocky, dusty walk, but it was fun. When we completed the trail, my dad took us to Chevron and McDonald's for slurpies, smoothies, and a mocha frappe. Yum!
Hannah, Lauren, and my mom went to the pool, Grandpa and my dad worked on taxes, (...) and Grandma and I baked a cake and cupcakes for Lauren's birthday celebration at Grandma and Grandpa's tonight.
Bye!

Carefree

Okay, so before I start, I changed my background, and I want to know if it stays the same or goes to green as you scroll down to earlier posts. It stays the same on the computer, but on the iPad the longer you scroll down the greener it gets. Will you tell me if I need to change it again in the comments?

Today, we went to Carefree, Arizona. If you go to my older posts, I wrote about this last year, so you can see some pictures. I can't post any until we get home because my mom didn't bring the laptop, so I can't put any of my pictures on until I have the right computer.
Anyway.
We went to the Black Mountain Coffee Shop in Carefree and I had two pancakes and a biscuit. Yum! Then we walked around the art fair and my grandma bought us all necklaces. (They're super cute!) There were a bunch of cute dogs, and we made friends with one named Chocolate. I took plenty of pictures, so I'll update you guys on that when I get home.  Then we came home and played tag - jump rope style - and Uncle George and Aunt Pat came over and chatted for awhile. We went out and jump roped for a little bit longer, then went to the pool. Hannah made up a bunch of water games with swim noodles and diving sticks, and a few were even in the hot tub.  When we came home my dad was putting in the living room, and my grandma was standing on the other side of the room, saying "Wonderful, you made it!" and moving to where the ball had stopped like her feet were the hole. :) Any, that's all that happened today, so good night. :)

Arizona

Guess where we are? If you read the title, you probably know already, but if you didn't, we're in Arizona! We're missing a few days of school, but it's worth it. Today my mom took away our electronics and sent us on a scavenger hunt to find them. It was actually kind of fun! I decided to play around with the format and stuff of my blog, and I saw one I liked and changed it. It will probably change again because I don't have much time right now, and this isn't even my computer. (It's my grandmas) I haven't taken many pictures, but I'll take some tomorrow and try to post some. (I probably won't be able to.) When we get back, I probably won't blog often because of City League, Confirmation, and homework. Just check back once a week and (hopefully) there will be a new post.
Nothing that exciting has been going on, just school starting and the new year and all of that jazz. You probably don't want to hear about it, so I'll just save you some time by not making you have more to read and I'll also save me some time by not updating you on my life.

Tennessee Pictures

 Augie :)
Lauren's reaction to a Sour Patch Kid (That one's not even the best one)
Augie sleeping in the trunk because Hannah took up all of his space
Augie and Lucy playing tug-of-war with Augie's toy
 Grandpa sleeping in his chair
Joseph at the pool wrapped in two towels (I told you the water was cold, and the sun happens to be hiding for this picture.)
Lauren and Joseph at the pool
Grandpa wearing Lauren's goggles at the pool
Okay, so I decided not to put any videos on because they are complicated and take forever to load and yeah. But Lucy does this hilarious thing with her water where when she's panting and hot she'll drink, then dig through the water like she's digging in the ground and then she'll put both of her paws in it and she'll flip the entire thing over! Hannah managed to get it on video twice by snagging my iPod.

Tennessee - Day 2

I don't know if this is the right video, I don't think that it is, and it won't let me upload any other thing, so I'm going to complete this post and them do another one with all of the pictures.
I know that the day isn't over yet, but I figured that blogging is a pretty good thing to do when it's 5:15 and it's quiet and everyone else is on electronics. I was the last one awake this morning (Luckily I was sleeping in the basement) but I didn't miss out on anything. (So I hear.) We went swimming this morning and the water was FREEZING. My aunt said that I turned blue. :) So after about 15 minutes in the pool, I got out and sat at the picnic table and ate and did puzzles in the newspaper with my grandpa. Surprisingly, we stayed for 2 hours, and I spent most of it eating. We came home and Lauren and Joseph tried roller skating. I helped Joseph roller blade and he didn't last long, but it was okay with me because spotting a 5 year old little boy in roller blades that are way to big for him and hasn't really roller bladed before isn't the easiest thing in the world. Then I had ice cream outside and some of it got in my hair and then Joseph, Lauren, and my mom and I went out on the porch and played Guesstures and Grabitz. Joseph "won" because he got the most points. (We just told him that so he didn't feel bad.) There's been a change in plans. Instead of staying until Friday, I am leaving with Joseph and Aunt Margaret tomorrow afternoon to go back home in Alabama, and Hannah and Lauren and my mom will come down to Arizona on Friday. I think that I'm going to help cook dinner now! Bye!

Tennessee - Day 1

Today, we are in Tennessee! My dad stayed home because he had to work, but Augie came with us. So far, the eleven and a half hour car ride has been worth it! We left around 6:20 in the morning (It sadly felt like school all over again) and got here around 5:45 at night. Our Aunt Margaret and her 5 year old son Joseph are here as well, and we're all boarding at my grandparents. I would post pictures(I have a great video of Augie and Joseph's dog Lucy playing together) but I'm using my grandparent's computer. They both got iPads for Mother's Day (I want an iPad for Mother's Day) but Hannah and Lauren won't let me help them figure it out because I helped my other grandma with her new iPad. In the car, we were playing Sparkle, and Hannah made the dog play, and he ended up sparkling all of us out. It was pretty funny. When we got here we played outside (my mom's old trike, a little cart thing that my mom played with, and roller blades that we brought) and ate dinner. Now I'm blogging, but I have to go get ready for bed. I'll see if I have time to post pictures in the morning!
